Jake Ronay

Operating Partner at Britbots with more than fifteen years in deep tech as investor and operator. Raised and invested over £50m across 20+ start ups, led programmes at the British Business Bank and SETsquared. Tutor in Entrepreneurial Strategy at the University of Bath.

Jake helps founders move from pilot to repeatable deployment. He has spent more than fifteen years funding and developing early stage deep tech companies as both investor and operator. He has invested in and raised more than fifty million pounds across over twenty start ups and has mentored more than three hundred founders.

He led venture programmes at the British Business Bank BBI South West fund with Newable Ventures and at SETsquared, where he set up the scale up investment programme and worked on the strategy for a two hundred million pound spin out fund. He also led the South West Innovate UK Regional Angel Investment Programme that later expanded nationally.
